You will be aware of the rise in scarlet fever cases nationally and emerging cases locally. The attached letter from Public Health England provides information on signs and symptoms, what to do if you think you or your child have scarlet fever and how you can help stop the spread at home, in school and wider community.
In school, we will be promoting frequent hand washing and the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ guide to using tissues in addition to encouraging children to cough into the crook of their arm. Please support the ‘Stop the Spread’ campaign by teaching your child these routines.
